Leaks and Datamines

The roster data holds profile entries (hobbies, likes and so on) for characters who are not in the game as playable units. This does not mean they are all playable: Castor, Long and Solel also have roster data and appear only as NPC fighters. The file names below are the finder's romanisations, with the English names shown beside them.

The costume restriction data names several of those unused characters: Mars, Credna, Kalla, Cleobulus, Myson and Gladius. Not every character is listed there (Cai and Peter are missing), so the finder assumes it is a list of who may wear which costume. Even so, seeing these names in it is a strong hint that they are meant to be playable.

The support data has entries for Cleobulus, Myson, Anna, Gladius, Mars, Credna and Kalla. The finder wonders whether these seven are the only new playable characters. They note that Nintendo shared Mars by accident before the datamine.

The files contain dragon forms that nothing in the game uses: Eishet, Nomved and Seteth.

The finder posted growth rates for the characters they think may become playable. Aurora's growths differ from her NPC version. Myson's Charm growth of 1 is deliberate, not a typo, according to the finder.

The game files hold obelisk entries for the other four Flame Lords, next to the ones already in the game. Each has a Part 1 entry and a Part 2 entry, apart from Orchel, who has a Part 1 entry only. The text for all of them is empty at the moment. The file selection screen also holds glowing sprites for the same four, and Orchel's sprite shows whether her Part 2 was skipped or cleared. The finder reads both details as possible signs that Orchel has no Part 2, but that is a reading, not something the files state.

A screenshot is circulating on X that is said to show paired ending text for Bertrand and Leda, claimed to come from the files. It is second-hand, its origin is unknown and nothing confirms it, so this guide does not reproduce the text.

One diadem name in the files does not appear in the game: Diadem of Sagacity. It belongs to the Crest of Macuil, which fits, since Smyrnos carries that crest. The finder could not locate its graphic. The files also hold a crest symbol assigned to Sothis, separate from the Crest of Flames symbol; the finder was unsure whether it is used anywhere, and a reader has since identified it as the symbol the calendar's Sirius Festival uses (the festival falls on 26/7). Not every diadem could be found in the files.

Several characters outside the playable roster have diadems of their own in the files. Eishet has the Diadem of Constancy, Mahna has the Diadem of Duality, Gladius has the Diadem of the Victor and Nomved has the Diadem of Reflection. The finder calls this unsurprising.

The finder posted the class growth rates for what they called the four unusable classes, and the table also shows two more rows. The asterisks on four of the rows come from the finder and are not explained in the post. A reply shows the Badhbh Cath row as read in a class data editor, and it matches the table. Blank cells mean 0 or not shown.

The obelisk screen's interface data includes frames that mark completing the Lunatic difficulty, also known as Maddening. This guide records that the released game has no Lunatic difficulty, so these frames may be unused leftovers or may point to a mode added later. One other player reacted that an expert mode was back, with no evidence attached.

A news write-up of the datamine says comments on the Fire Emblem subreddit indicate that the music for the obelisk themes was found. The write-up gives no further detail, and this guide has not seen the original comments.
