Fortune’s Weave

Guides

The guides are the longer pieces on this site. Each one answers a question the game does not explain well, such as which route to start with, how combat rules interact, or how to capture a mount. They draw on the same sourced records as the rest of the guide, and where the author’s own play shapes the advice it is labelled as such.

If you are new, read Getting started first, then Choosing a route. If you are partway through a run, the weekly checklist and the questions and answers are the quickest to use. Anything that could spoil the story is hidden until you choose to reveal it.

  • Getting started

Which route to pick first, what each of the four routes unlocks, how Renown and Support gate recruits, and which blessings and classes to look at early.

  • Choosing a route

The four Part I lords side by side: who joins, who is locked out, and how many chapters and paralogues each path has, counted from this guide's data.

  • Combat rules the game doesn't explain

Weapon-type traits, mounting, Blaze meters, Cursed Treasures, Large Unit shields, guest units, weapon repair and Clash.

  • Questions and answers

Short answers to what players ask: gold, levelling, game length, skipping Part II, effective damage, rewinding, free time, missables and recruiting.

  • Weekly checklist

The weekly activities split into what uses a turn, what is free and what is undocumented, with a list to tick off and reset.

  • Growth checker

Pick a unit, class, mount and level, enter their stats, and see whether the unit is ahead of or behind the expected value for each stat.

  • Lord talents

How each lord's own world-map mechanic works: Cai's Lure and farming, Dietrich's Answerer's Cry and duels, Theodora's Battalions and Leda's performances.

  • Luring and capturing mounts

How mount capture works on Cai's route: when it unlocks, which food lures what, the author's reload method, and a table of every breed.

  • New Game+ and Replay

The game has Replay rather than New Game+: how chapter bookmarks work, what carries into a second path or a replay, and what a Clear Save adds.

  • Unfinished story threads

Parts of the story are referred to but never shown. A spoiler-gated look at what seems to be cut content, with sources kept apart.
