Plan
On Dietrich's route Gaitz requires 3 support, 10 renown, clearing Bertrand's Paralogue (Friendly Match with Brigid's King, accepted 17/9) and the follow-on "They Have Lost" event.
Part I, chapter 1
Give Gaitz one liked gift (Common Coffee, Orgus Coffee or Horse-Grooming Kit) every in-game week, starting in the first free-time window, until his support level reaches 3.† unverified
Part I, chapter 1
Pair Gaitz into one non-gift support activity per week (shared inn meal, arena training, paired temple service, theatre, thermae, world-map feast, or combat adjacency) alongside the weekly gift, until his support level reaches 3.† unverified
Part I, chapter 1
Prioritise quests from the start of the route, especially Dietrich's Challenge Letters and any Bulletin Board/Adventure Guide quests, plus divine audiences, skirmishes and paralogues, to accrue Renown up to 10R.† unverified
Part I, chapter 9
Clear Bertrand's Paralogue "Friendly Match with Brigid's King" during its 17/9–25/9 accept window on Dietrich's route.
Part I, chapter 12
Trigger the "They Have Lost" follow-on event after Bertrand's Paralogue, once Bertrand's team is knocked out of the tournament.† unverified
Research notes
- Give Gaitz one liked gift (Common Coffee, Orgus Coffee or Horse-Grooming Kit) every in-game week, starting in the first free-time window, until his support level reaches 3. Why: Satisfies the 3S support component of Gaitz's Dietrich-route gate. Liked gifts per Gaitz's Character Info 'Likes'; gifts bought from the Shopping Arcade gift shop, the Tavern at Lowtown cheap-gift shop, or world-map settlements (planning-inputs.md §Support)
- Pair Gaitz into one non-gift support activity per week (shared inn meal, arena training, paired temple service, theatre, thermae, world-map feast, or combat adjacency) alongside the weekly gift, until his support level reaches 3. Why: Supports the 3S support component of Gaitz's Dietrich-route gate by adding a second weekly support-raising action toward level 3. planning-inputs.md §Support (activities that raise support; once-per-week caps on gift and arena)
- Prioritise quests from the start of the route, especially Dietrich's Challenge Letters and any Bulletin Board/Adventure Guide quests, plus divine audiences, skirmishes and paralogues, to accrue Renown up to 10R. Why: Satisfies the 10R renown component of Gaitz's Dietrich-route gate. planning-inputs.md §Renown (quests are the largest single renown source; Challenge Letters are Dietrich's specialised quest type)
- Clear Bertrand's Paralogue "Friendly Match with Brigid's King" during its 17/9–25/9 accept window on Dietrich's route. Why: Satisfies the "clear Bertrand's Paralogue" component of Gaitz's Dietrich-route gate. Paralogue record friendly-match-with-brigids-king: unlockCondition "Accept 17/9–25/9", routeAvailability Dietrich chapter 9
- Trigger the "They Have Lost" follow-on event after Bertrand's Paralogue, once Bertrand's team is knocked out of the tournament. Why: Satisfies the "They Have Lost" component of Gaitz's Dietrich-route gate.
Missing plan details
- no chapter/renown-level correspondence found for this route, so the 10R threshold cannot be tied to a specific chapter
- no support-points-per-action or points-per-level figures found anywhere; gift/support pacing assumes one support-raising action per week toward ~3 actions per level
- "They Have Lost" has no confirmed chapter, trigger or unlock window: the only timing evidence is the missable note that Gaitz must wait until Bertrand's team is knocked out, around Part I chapter 12
- no mapping from in-game calendar dates (17/9–25/9) to Dietrich-route chapters beyond the paralogue record's supplied chapter 9
Cai, Theodora, Leda
Dietrich
Deadline: must wait until Bertrand's team is knocked out of the tournament, which should be around Chapter 12

Story and profile
Who they are
Gaitz is an older swordsman in Bertrand's Army, trained in the east and well into his sixties. He drinks tea from Sai, admires Ferghanan horses, enjoys duelling and calligraphy, and practises both brewing and martial arts. He lives in Dagsion and joins in Part 1, on Dietrich's route through a gate.
Gaitz is a front-liner ranked B. HP and Strength growths are both 50%, Defence is 45%, and Magic is a poor 20%. Brave Assist gives adjacent allies Def+3, though it does not raise his own Defence, so he works best when someone stands beside him. He prefers Axe, Rider and Spear skills, which opens cavalry classes. Heavy Armour is not on his list, so armoured classes are harder to reach. The path is Bardinger then Orichaldia, and the guide author finds Bardinger weak and keeps most cavalry in Light Cavalry. White and Black Magic are bane skills.
